Giveaway Day! Cucire Fabric Shop

Happy Friday y'all! I'd like to introduce you to a new fabric shop and one of my new sponsors.

Cucire is an Etsy shop run by Elizabeth Nelson.

Here's a little more about Cucire from Elizabeth:

Thank you to Jennifer for this opportunity to tell you all a little bit about myself and my little store!  I’m a landscape architect by profession, but have always been surrounded by women who loved to sew and quilt.  I happily discovered the modern quilting world right as everything was beginning to take off, and have been a proud member of the Kansas City Modern Quilt guild since the first meeting.  My quilting hobby quickly became a fabric hoarding hobby, and owning my own little fabric shop seemed like the logical next step.  Thankfully, my husband understands my crazy logic and with his support, I launched Cucire on Etsy this May.

What in the world is a ‘Cucire’, you may wonder? Cucire is simply an Italian word meaning ‘to sew.”  Pronounced “coo-CHEER-uh”, or alternatively, however you would prefer!  Italians are known for producing high-quality goods, and I thought it to be fitting inspiration for a sewing shop.  I feature quality threads and notions, along with quilting cottons and voiles.  I carry many weights and colors of Aurifil thread and will soon be stocking a matching thread for every solid in my shop.   I would also be happy to help you select the perfect thread for your project, and have many color cards on hand to ensure a perfect thread match!

Some of my favorite fabrics that Cucire stocks are:

this beautiful Art Gallery voile (which I've seen in person and it's lovely!)

this adorable jersey knit  (which would make a super cute dress for my daughter)

and these lovely shot cottons (only a sample of what she carries!)

Cucire has monthly specials too.  During the month of June Shot Cottons are $7.50/yard plus most of the threads ship free with another purchase!

Be sure to stop by Cucire and get to know this great new fabric shop. I have a feeling it will soon become one of your favorites!

For today's giveaway, Elizabeth is offering 2 yards of Shot Cotton in the color called Galvanized, Superior titanium needles in size 90, and Aurifil 12 wt thread to coordinate (pictured above.)

What a great prize pack! To enter to win, please fill out the Rafflecopter below. The winner will be announced next Wednesday. Good luck!
